Am a cm working my notice. Obviously have given thought as to what to do with all my toys, equipment, books etc. all from new as my own Dcs were older when i set up. And have added lots of toys,Some recently.

This am at drop off my least favourite mum and incidentally the most well off mum, asked me ' I expect you are going to let the children choose some
toys each to take home when u close. Can .... Have the farm??

This farm is 4 months old and cost me £60.

I was going to hold a sale of a stuff at my house as could do with the money!

Am I mean or is she a bit cheeky??

Though saying that I am a great believer of don't ask don't get

She asked - she just isn't gonna get lol

Just say you are going to sell some to other cm's - as they have asked - but say to her that she can have first offer on the farm

Yes agree both above and will do, just not giving her for free cheeky mare.

She's trying it on. I'd make a for sale list and pass round to parents/childminders/local preschools/toddler groups etc. It would never have occurred to me to give the big things away unless I was giving up because I'd won the lottery.

gosh, I would be even more blunt than it's been suggested here. Well, in my head I would, but in reality it would depend on how brave I was feeling on the day.

Hows about: 'I know you asked for the farm and I know x likes it, but it cost me £x and I cannot afford to give something of that value away as I don't have cash to spare. To be honest, you asking made me feel a bit awkward'.

Obviously only if you won't need a reference from her in the future!

She sounds absolutely awful to be honest and it does irk me that there are people who can be so rude and thoughtless to others, and I do think it's better if they are sometimes made aware of how their behaviour comes across!
