It's supposed to take no more than 12 weeks.

ivet83 · 10/02/2006 12:36

Mine took months to go through and that was with me chasing them alot.

HellyBelly · 10/02/2006 13:12

i've heard lots of people have had delays but as badgerhead said, should be within 12 weeks.

HellyBelly · 10/02/2006 13:12

p.s. i had to do loads of chasing too!

teddyedwards · 10/02/2006 13:34

mine took 5 months.Lots of delays with partners crb. He has 3 now. 1. for taxi driving.
2. Child escort for school runs
3. For my childminding.
We were very confused by this as we thought he would have had stringent tests to make sure he was suitable to drive children in fostercare to school each day on his own. But the school escort crb is not as thorough as the crb for him to be in the same building as me when i am minding. We did point this out to various agencies including ofsted, devon county council, local taxi association etc. but no one seemed bothered. So if you have your children escorted to school by local taxi firm, it may be worth checking whether they have been thoroughly checked

How about this for a laugh. Had my registration inspection 7th December paid my £14 9th December. After me calling them every week its only been this week that they told me that 4 weeks ago they cancelled the registration. Why???? Cos they thought they hadnt received any payment. It was handy that they tell me this after they had finally found the money .....2 months later!!!

I AM FUMING !!!!!

BTW this happened only yesterday ....still fuming though

HellyBelly · 10/02/2006 14:09

OMG!!!! CRAP aren't they!!!! It makes me SOOOO MAD

Does that mean your certificate is on the way now though?

Isyhan · 10/02/2006 14:09

This doesnt fill me full of hope. I sent my registration doc in and they sent it back because I was getting kitchen extension and he said we have to process within 3 months. If they dont I'll scream. I may write to 'Tony' to tell him why parents cant get back to work!

HellyBelly · 10/02/2006 14:12

Good idea! They are stupid - in your situation there is no reason why they can't do everything else and then JUST inspect you when the kitchen is done?!?!?!!!

WRITE TO TONY!

HellyBelly they were waiting on a social services report thing on my DP. But hadnt chased it up or anything for the last 4 weeks . So yesterday i was assured that a memo had been sent....a) I should bl**dy well think so and b) who the hell uses memos these days????? OFSTED are obviously still in the eighties

So hopefully certificate will be here soon but who knows
