One of the parents told me she is thinking of giving me notice beginning of July so I don't have her girls during the summer as she doesn't to pay full price for the holiday care. Fair enough..

The thing is that I'm starting to stress as I'm losing pretty much all my mindees in September for various reasons, moving abroad, maternity leave...

Knowing all of that, would you wait for all of them to give proper notice or would you start advertising for september and even before.

I'm just worried I'm not going to find anyone and scared of missing an opportunity if I say no to someone who wants childcare lets say in june or july.

try an talk to your parents to find out what their intentions are, I ask for a six week notice period so I have enough time to fill in vacancies as you may well know its not always so easy.Smile
