Hello, I have been for an interview today with a family and I would really like the position. They are getting back to me tomorrow to let me know if I have got the job. They have given me their email address so I can email them with any questions I may think of. Could you please help me think of some things to ask them as I don't want to forget anything. A boy of 16 months and a newborn in June. I would be a live in nanny. Thank you!

The interview was the time to ask questions. You could clarify things by e-mail I suppose.

Is it set working hours, set days? What activities does the oldest child like - can you take them out to visit places - would that still apply with newborn? Is it shared care of newborn - mum around at home for a while? Were you told all your duties, are you happy about those such as amount of non-childcare duties?

Pay and holiday arrangements? Gross salary agreed? Probation period, notice period.
Use of car?
House rules about visitors, on and off duty?

I would have just sent a chatty email saying that it was lovely to meet them all today and how much you would love to work for them and you hope to hear from them soon.

But...is a bit late now.

Did you get it?

Its an overseas, 24/7 position so they said if I thought of any other questions that I could email them at any time. They have a couple more interviews then they're letting me know. Thank you for your replys and fingers crossed!
