I spoke with social services, and my application should be finailsed/will get my certificate within the next few weeks.

Thing is, I would really like to get a few things in the sales before they end, but can I claim back on what I buy now, if Im not yet registered?

Yes. 'Setting Up Costs'! I bought most essentials before I started (however most was out of the grant so I can't claim that )

grant? who did you get that from? Im pretty sure Im not goin through the same childminding association as you (Im in NI), but any guidance would be very much appreciated!

My local council (in England) give out grants to help with starting up costs. Not sure if all do. Maybe only if shortage of childminders in the area? Sorry not much help but I'd ask your local Early Years team (or whoever you are in contact with about your application)

Lmccrean - hang on to your receipts for anything you do buy, you can still include them in your expenses.
