The main changes affecting all taxpayers were announced in the Autumn Statement in November - I posted a summary at the time of the impact of the principal changes affecting Nannies and Childminders, and will update them if there is anything new.

Nope, nothing new except the allowances for 2013/14 which are too far off to be of much interest at the moment.

Woah, there is something hidden in there which is the new cash basis for calculating profit which in theory will make it easier for childminders to calculate their profits from April 2013. I say in theory because most childminders use the cash basis anyway (if the words prepayment and accrued income mean nothing to you, you are using the cash basis).

If you are interested, ask away, but even I find this a bit dull!
