look after my little boy (21months) for a day occasionally? And what questions do i need to ask etc? And how do i find them? Is it going to be very difficult to find someone to take him on a rare occasion? Have no one i can ask to take him!

try childcare.co.uk, make a profile saying what you want. Some childminders may do the odd day if they're not full, but if they've got maximum numbers then they can't. You might be better off with a babysitter. Personally, I would do an odd day as I take several part timers but some prefer you to be more regular.

Where abouts are you then? And how much am i looking at? Its for about five/six hours?

Childminder prices vary hugely throughout the country, I am in the North West and for an odd six hours that wasn't a regular income I would probably charge £25. It may be more or less where you are.

where about's are you? i am a childminder who isn't full (through choice) and have the odd day free and available if needed?
