Hi

I have found this forum really helpful so thought I would ask for more advice!

I have just found out that I am pregnant with DC #2. Very happy Grin.

My DD goes to a CM twice a week for 8 hours. She is a great CM and really do not want to lose her. I intend to continue to send my DD to her while I am on full pay - only 6 weeks. But after that don't think I will be able to afford it and I intend to take a year off.

So to ask a stupid question I assume that I have to give notice on my DDs place and just keep my FC that she has space for two twelve months down the line. I do not live in a really competitive area (rural but lots of CMs locally) so there is a chance that this may happen. But really like her and my DD who is very shy and nervous has settled with her really well.

I know I am very early in asking this question but have started to think about it and obviously once she knows I am pregnant she will probably ask.

Thanks

That is two days for 8 hours not 8 hours in total.

I would be honest with her and have a chat about it. She may be able to charge you some sort of retainer to ensure space is available to you?

12 months? Will you be taking that long maternity leave? Anything could happen over that time period, so yes I think you need take your chances. However keeping in touch with them would be useful.
