Want to do classroom assistant course after leaving cming in June but course at local college doesn't start till oct. Got my practical classroom days sorted out for sept.

Any advice?

Not sure where I saw the thread, may have been on here or on another forum,
that some of the distance learning qualifications are not worth the paper their written on.
I seem to remember the OP saying she finished the (alledgedly it said NO Placement required!!) course, received her certificate, but when she applied for a job was told it wasnt valid qualification!

i would start your placement in sept and then course in the october

that way you will have a little bit of experience before the theory comes along :)

good luck

would not go down the distance learning route

you need to be sure that the qualification you undertake is accepted by your local authority

You can check it out on the database of accredited qualifications. I maintain that a good 50% of distance learning colleges are knowingly flogging out of date qualifications or falsely advertising.
