More advice needed please???

I am looking to start work fairly soon, i have 2ds and am having a complete nightmare finding a cm with 2 available spaces! i have had the list from cis and have called over 30 minders, is there another source i can find any others?

Have you tried searching on google too? A lot of the enquiries I get are through my own online advertising.

The prob is that a CM can only have 3 under 5, so if she already has 2 for any of the time you want, your two will take her over her numbers.

TOP TIP: I found the best way to find two spaces was to ask the CM I called if they could recommend anyone - esp if they knew anyone who was about to become registered and therefore didn't have any mindees at present. These not-quite registered people won't be on the CIS list yet.

should be clearer - not that you could use them before they registered, but that if they were close to getting registered you could book them up for as soon as they did get it all through.

The Childrens Information Service do have a list of minders who are "in training" (well, ours do anyway) - I'm not sure whether they would tell you if there is anyone in your area like this or not though. (Ours told me because of our mentoring system). Would agree with SqueakyCat about asking other minders.
