Offsets complaint

Just a quickie - my daughter's after school club had a complaint made against them to Ofsted just prior to Christmas. They duly paid a visit at the beginning of this month and reported their findings on their website, upholding the complaint made.

I only know about this because a friend stumbled across it on the Ofsted website. Doesn't the club have a duty to inform all parents of Ofsted's recent investigation?

Oops, sorry - that should of course read "Ofsted complaint", not "Offsets" - bloody predictive text!!!

Sorry was my answer not good enough?

I'm a registered cm and in the early yrs register and childcare register it states that parents should be informed when a complaint is made and of it's result.

Whoa NickNacks, bad morning?

Flisspaps · 01/02/2012 08:21

To be fair to NickNacks, the first answer given was correct!

Loads of people can come and agree but you've already had your thoughts confirmed Smile

No I just thought the op was rather rude not thanking or even acknowledging my answer and came back to 'bump'.

No bad morning. :)

Sorry, hadn't meant to cause offence.

Thank you for answering my query - I only bumped the thread in case someone may have had a similar experience with a child care provider not notifying parents of a complaint followed up and upheld by Ofsted and would have been interested in how it may have been followed up/resolved.

Incidentally, I called Ofsted today and they told me the care provider does not have to inform all parents of a complaint lodged, only need to admit to it if a parent asks.

Anyhow, I shall go now before I offend anyone else Sad

I was going to say that providers do not need to inform parents of any complaints made but I see that the OP has managed to find out that for themself.
The nursery where I work has a complaint upheld on the Ofsted website and I doubt if very many of the parents even know it's there.
