CYPOP 5 task 4 - HELP PLEASE!

I am trying to complete my task 4 and would like to ask how other people have set out the "demonstrate financial planning" aspect of the task.

I've done the first and thrid part of the task in Word but am not sure if I can/should complete the second part in Excel? Would a spreadsheets be sufficient to demonstrate the pennies?
