Got any market stalls near you? Buy fruit and veg loose, from the market so not the Grade A perfect shape stuff the supermarkets want to sell.

Pasta salad - pasta with sweetcorn and small bits of cubed cheese, or any small bits of anything you have laying around which the children might eat.

What area are you in? Do you have places like farm foods they are great for bargain milk and bread

Homemade hummus or guacamole (can chickpeas blended or avo blended not anything fancy, cheap and quick) or peanut butter and fruit/veg/bread sticks? If you have one of those stick peeler things it'd be quick. Then use left over fruit/veg later in the day?
