I've used them for about 5 years, absolutely no problems, except on one occasion when woman they sent spoke appalling english. (I said hello, invited her in and she just stood on the doorstep looking blankly at me - we didn;t go out that evening!)
They gave me a good few months to make up for it and were very apologetic.
We also had one v late cancellation.
But we've had loads and loads of fantastic babysitters and they're not expensive. I would recommend

It depends on the sitter you get!

Costly though..£13 a quarter, then £6 per booking plus the hourly rate think we paid £6.75 ph.

It sounds normal. As long as the company is professional, things can be sorted..... Thank you again

We've used Sitters several times, they have always sent nice, capable, experienced women with the bonus that they have their own transport so you dont have to worry about them geting home, I dont like to use teenagers for this reason!

where are you op?

maybe someone here could help

PaulaMummyKnowsBest · 24/11/2011 18:17

they are great from a parents point of view but awful from a baby sitters point of view

I once cancelled late due to having a sickness bug and was being sick. They were ok about that.
I cancelled late as my FIL had been taken to hospital and my DH needed to be there (cancer) sitters were sort of ok with that
When i cancelled late due to my dd (aged 4) having a burst appendics and needing emergency surgery in London, they were really angry and told me that i was clearly unprofessional and they no longer wanted me on there books.

So yes i cancelled 3 times but that was over 4 years! Each was a very worthy reason.

If a parent cancelled at late notice, that was fine apparently Hmm

Thank you Paulamummyknowbest. I am sorry for your troubles. It is never easy to find a nanny with flexibility.....Everyone wants to make money.....
