AIBU to just leave NOW?

Just been told by the 9 year old girl I look after that I am just a stupid babysitter and that I will clean toilets until the rest of my life...

I didn' even know what to say. Luckily she is on a playdate with her friend now, so I had time for a bit of a cry...

Right now all I want is to pack my things and leave asap.

Hi, I spoke to the mother today. I tried to make things work, but they will never work. I told her that the daughter keeps scratching me and she says: Well, if you would cut her nails every day she couldn't scratch you.

So what about the smacking and kicking bit? Shall I cut off legs and arms too so she can't hit me?

Oh, I am so angry. Have a phone interview at the weekend for a family living close to London who is looking for a German speaking nanny. Let's see how that goes. The agency told me that the family is really interested in me. Position starts in January.

Go for it, good luck and good riddance ;-)

Just had the interview and it went down well. Going to London in two weeks for a day to meet the family.

Just go fgs.

They sound like an awful family. If you resign are they likely to ask you to leave immediately? Might be as well to prepare for that if they do. Good luck hope you find a new nice family soon.

Yes, I have thought of that too. I am going to move my stuff bit by bit until the end of November, so I have the biggest part at my friends house, so that when I give my four weeks notice at the end of November I have nearly everything there. Just in case you know. Maybe not the greatest thing for me to do, but then they are not nice to me either.

The mother just blamed me for her daughter putting on weight. I am not the one who buys her daughter all sorts of sugary crap sweets and overheard her having a conversation on the phone, telling whoever she spoke too that she was joked when she first met me, from the picture I send her she thought I would be slim (the picture was taken a month before I met her) and then all she saw was a fat ball that was rolling towards her.... Hilarious. Didn't talk to her this morning at all. Can't stand her anymore. If I wouldn't have so much stuff there I would leave today.

Sorry spellcheck... Mean to instead of to and shocked instead of joked.

I'm not surprised this mother has a vile child. I am tempted to think she has these conversations within your earshot so she can undermine your confidence in a way that you can't defend youself as she isn't talking directly to you, please don't let iher ignorance affect you.

The thing is' Whatever your weight, It is much easier to deal with than this womans ugly personality, which sadly she has already infected her child withSad
