What does sole charge mean?

I've been assuming it meant just one child but have seen adverts contradicting this belief. What does it mean?

it means left on your own to look after the children doesn't it

That the nanny/childcarer is in sole charge of the child/ren - the parents are not present.

It's nothing to do with the number of children.

Shared care would be if the parent was present, sharing childcare duties.
