Hi - I'll be employing a nanny for the first time this month. She tells me that she will keep a diary of my baby's routine. What should I ask her to record? Thanks very much

im a nanny to 2 10m olds and do a diary like the following (full day example!)

Today i ate
all my porriage and banana followed by 6oz milk @7.45
all my lunch of briccoli and salmon pasta followed by mashed banana @ 12.15
all my milk at 2pm

My sleeps today were
8.45-9.45
12.40-2.30

My Nappies today were
8.45-soiled
11am - wet
2pm wet
4pm wet

Today we had a very busy day this morning we went to Gymboree and we played on the the equipment which i love now because i can crawl :) this afternoon we went to play at bobs house and i loved reading the books!

Hope this helps!

My nanny just logs actions and times - feeds, nappies, naps, meds - with comments on them so:

8.50 feed, 3oz beaker top guzzled
9.15 - 10.20 nap in sling
10.30 teething powder
11.05 3oz bottle, played with the teat for a bit but drank eventually
11.45 explosive dirty nappy

It depends what you want to know though. I have a refluxy 5mo who's teething, doesn't like bottles and only poos every few days Grin so that's the kind of stuff I want to know.

Thank you, that's very helpful. If anyone else has any suggestions please let me know
