BABYSITTER Required - READING area......................

Mindee's mum wants a babysitter they can contact when they want a night out. They don't really want to pay high agency fees etc and they want someone who can stay late (they will pay taxi's etc or they can stay overnight). They were thinking about a teenager or something like that but are open to idea's.

Any suggestions/recommendations?

I would suggest she contacts Reading College (TVU now!) as they have a NNEB course so full of students in training who are broke.

My DD now sits (in Reading) but as only just touching 15 only for friends who have no tinies and who bring her home - too young to be sent in taxi.

I'm registered for overnight helly but prob a bit far away aren't I !

I charge 39 a night for babies or 35 a night for over 5s.

Cheers but they really wanted a babysitter (but I may end up having her overnight next week if they can't find anyone - Ofsted said ok as not being paid).

Just in case they are interested, can you remind me where you are (or CAT me)?

I'm your side of newbury

Lunavix. Probably a bit far but I'll certainly mention it to them!

I've agreed to babysit next week to help until they find someone for next year (they're giving me a few hours off that day so that I'm not working til 6.30 then going straight over to put her to bed!)

If anyone else is in the Reading area and knows someone who would like to be these people's babysitter, let me know

I know a nanny who does babysitting in some parts of Berkshire. Know the nanny is quite near to Bracknell, Ascot area, not sure though if Reading is too far away or not. Check if your postcode is in coverage area . Will certainly stay late, very late (I've come back at 2am once!) No agency fees to pay. Just an hourly rate which doesn't change after midnight.

How old is the child / children involved? You mention that the mindee's mum doesn't want to pay a high agency fee, but not what they would pay say per hour - may help to know what sort of fees they are looking at, as if they only want to pay a few pounds an hour, then not worth recommending someone who charges more.

Wish I'd tried that before! I already knew he didn't cover my area and as they are just round the corner, I didn't think they'd be covered either. Just checked and they ARE!

Will forward website to them! Thanks.

Any more recommendations in case they don't like the prices? (i'll try and find out how much they are happy to pay - they were talking about having a teenager come to earn some extra money!)
