I have been aproached by a mum wanting only after school care from 3.15pm till 5.30ish.Also wants 4 weeks holiday cover per year. Although i've been registered for years i don't know how or what to charge her. If i take her on i will only have 1 full/part time space available cos my dd is still quite small.Has to be worth my while doing it but don't want to overcharge her. Any advice anyone?

I thought you were allowed three under five and 3 over fives (including your own). So before and after school shouldn't count against your under 5s

My friens had her inspection last week and was told we are registered for 6 under 16 years.I have ds1 age 14,ds2 age 10 and dd aged 15 months so only have room for 3 mindees(i think)

I suppose i could have another 2 under 5s but they would need to be away at 2.30pm as the school pick up is a bit away and i don't have a people carrier

Ring you registering body - check how many under 5's you can have

I am registered for 3 under 5s(including dd aged 16 months) so i know i can only accommodate 2 under 5. However if i take on the after schoolers i need to have them for 4 weeks of the hoiidays each year so if i had my 2 boys my dd plus the 2 school age kids i can only take on 1 other child anyway. Can't i? So the after schoolers need to be a fairly substanstial amount of money i think.

Yep - I'd agree - work out how much you would lose and start from there
