Babysitting question

When you are paying a babysitter by the hour (as agreed beforehand) would you expect to pay her or him for 5 hours if you were out for 4 hours and 20 minutes or would you expect to pay for 4 and a half hours?

would depend on the babysitter.

I would expect 4 and a half hours for 4 hours 20 mins, tho most people i know would round UP to the nearest £5

My dd would get 4 and a half hours.

4 and a half

But thinking about it it might depend on the rate - I don't tend to faff around for the exact change so round up to say the nearest £5.

Agree.. tend to round up to nearest sensible value to avoid digging around for pound coins.

4hr 20 min I would round up to 4.5 hours, then multiply by hourly rate. So if say paying £8 per hour, 8x4.5=36. If I didn't happen to have coins would round that up to 40.
Always pays to keep babysitter happy, means they will come back again!
