and only found out today! I think I'm fairly well prepared but would appreciate any tips!

The hardset challenge will be getting my DH to pull his finger out and get those odd DIY jobs finished off that he never quite gets around to

Doesn't stop me feeling very nervous though - wish me luck!

Good Luck! is it a graded inspection?

Danthe4th · 20/05/2011 16:44

Just lay out all the paperwork on your kitchen table and then pretend she's not there until she asks any questions.

Danthe4th · 20/05/2011 16:47

and if your own children are at home send them elsewhere, I made my dh take a day off and take mine out and not come home till I rang him!!

You're obviously very organised what with being "fairly well prepared" given a weekend's notice of an OFSTED inspection. Good luck! Grin

Thanks guys - It's not a graded inspection - It's my first inspection to become OFSTED registered. So I've completed a childminder course (run by my local council) and have been getting my paperwork ready for the past month or so. I've always worked in administration so paperwork is my forte but I don't really know much about the EYFS - better get reading up instead of mumsnetting Grin

She's coming on Monday afternoon. My DH will be at work and DCs at school - Phew!

Hi everyone, Thanks for asking - I passed! Yey!

She stayed for FIVE HOURS!!!!

Half way through - I thought "she's never going to agree to let me look after someone else's children"... but she did!

Told DH I'd passed and his response was 'Oh good'. No 'congratulations' or even a hug (I've been working my arse off scince February!) - Typical bloke Angry

Going away next week so will give a months notice to work when I get back. Should be ready to start at the beginning of July - I've got a few mindees lined up already! I'm actually strating to get excited that this will actually work!!!!
