We are moving house and leaving our lovely childminder after nearly 5 years - any ideas for gifts - I am going to give her a photo of the boys, and thought I would write a reference as well - I normally get her vouchers for pampering - so something difference -she is early 50's with grown up kids -doesn't drink and alway trying to loose weight!

A good reference and home-made card from the boys would be lovely.

If you want to spend more a nice plant for the garden, jewellery, things that will last.

Good luck with your move.

I'm a similar age to your Childminder and several of my families have given me bulbs/ shrubs.
It's a lovely way for me to remember the children, especially as I've recently given up Childminding and now spend a lot more time gardening.

I like the idea of a book as well as the plants when I was in a nursery children would often buy a book and sign it when they left[or their carer would]It was lovely to one day go to choose a story and you were reminded of a child who may have left several years ago.
