Helping au pair make friends

I have just had a Spanish au pair start and I am thinking of ways to help her meet some other au pairs. We are in Hertfordshire close to Cuffley, Potters Bar, Barnet, St Albans & Cheshunt.

If there is anyone close and you would like to send a PM that would be great. Thanks

We are in Herts as well and my AP is open to making more friends.

I put an ad on Gumtree to find my aupair friends and we got a few responses. It is hard if you don't know any other families who have an aupair but once they start making new friends it makes a huge difference. Our current aupair joined a netball team & found friends there too.

You could also try aupairinuk on facebook. Also if your aupair needs english lessons some agencies have special aupair english lessons where they can meet other aupairs (worth a try as they will be in your local area)

Just drop me an email, I mentioned it to my AP and she is happy to meet/chat with your AP.

We have a Spanish aupair arriving this week. Are there any other aupairs in the area that she can befriend? We are in Bampton between Tiverton, Dulverton and Wiveliscombe. She can drive so can go to Exeter or Taunton if needs be. Thank you!
