We are getting a bit hidebound with our breakfasts
Cereal, toast occasionally pancakes or croissants

What else can we add? - so Breakfast is as interesting and balanced as the rest of our menu

Our breakfasts have been transformed by the existence of Walls microwave sausages.

This week:

Beans on Toast, Yougurt Fruit

Spagetti on Toast Yogurt Fruit

Poached eggs on Toast Yogurt Fruit (do you see the theme)

Cheese and Ham Omelette Yogurt Fruit

Porridge Yogurt Fruit

Rarely do Cereal as it is so expensive, find cooking breakfast is cheaper, and it dosnt take long either.

(One tip for littlies cut the toast into tint squares then put beans on, makes it easier to eat.)

I'm not a cm, but for my DS at home sometimes I give him porridge for a few days in a row with different fruit on it each morning Blush

Brioche is a favourite of course.

Fish! Kippers, smoked haddock and poached eggs, smoked haddock fishcakes, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, fish fingers with baked beans, sardines in tomato sauce on toast.

KatyMac · 12/03/2011 22:17

yogurt, usually with fruit and honey
potato cakes
toast and nutella :o
banana and peanut butter
boiled egg and soldiers/toast

BoffinMum · 12/03/2011 22:37

Look on my Austerity Housekeeping blog and there are some breakfast recipes on there (link in my profile).

Flisspaps · 12/03/2011 22:47

I usually put out pain au chocolats/brioche or croissants, banana, berries in yoghurt (could be any berries depending on what is cheap in season) and cereal

I don't do toast as my youngest mindeesqueals like a banshee if she is sat at the table and not being fed, which means either she upsets the others if I wait for the grill or they get burnt toast if I feed her. The continental breakfast means I can bung most of it on a tray before they arrive so it's ready straight away :)

minderjinx · 14/03/2011 18:19

You can do kedgeree overnight in a slow cooker, or porridge for that matter
