Nannies in Training

I have read in a few pregnancy books that you can help train nannies that are still in college. I am interested in how this works. I am having twins in July and having a nanny in training to help me along would be helpful. I really enjoyed training my employees when I was working so I am pretty sure I would feel the same. If anyone knows where to sign up or who to talk to please let me know. :)

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

You contact your local college and have students who are usually completing a child care course. Around here you need to have 2 children at least 1 under 1 year old. The students then come two days a week for a term.

I did this when I did my training. Infact I helped a mum out who had twin baby boys ( 3 mos at start) and a toddler. I absoutely loved it, it was my favourite placement, an I know mum was really grateful of the extra pair of hands. It was good exp for me an helped me realise I wanted to do some work with twins which I did.

Fully recommend it. Smile
