CM Club: Check your Ofsted reports!

Found this on childmindingforum but thought it would be worth posting here for those who are not members!

CMs in Reading have been emailed with the following:

^"We have been notified by some childminders that their Ofsted Inspection reports have included incorrect details, and it is obvious that the inspectors concerned have cut and pasted inserts from someone else?s report. Also, there have been a significant number of typing errors, including spelling and grammar.

We are advising that you read your report thoroughly to check that all the details are correct, including your personal details and if you find anything you are not happy about, please contact Ofsted to have this rectified.

It is a good idea to check your Ofsted certificate too to make sure you are registered for the correct numbers in each age group"^

The OP didn't know whether it affected JUST Reading CMs or whether it was a wider issue, so when your Ofsted inspection is done and you get sight of the report check it thoroughly, and make sure they've got it right!

My last one had the wrong date of inspection on Shock so had to be reissued

looneytune · 04/03/2011 10:54

That's bad!! I'm in Reading but not due for a while, will spread the word though :)

chabbychic · 04/03/2011 12:54

It was my report that kicked this off.

19 mistakes.

Same inspector inspected my friend... 17 mistakes.

looneytune · 04/03/2011 14:21

Have you complained? They'd downgrade us for much less than that!!! Angry

Booh · 04/03/2011 14:25

Mine has 16 mistakes. One whole paragraph made no sense at all!

chabbychic · 04/03/2011 21:09

Yes complained straight away but it took about 4 weeks to rectify and there are still 2 mistakes. No apology and the faulty one was online all that time!

Great - inspection due next week.

And to think that the very first cow OFSTED inspector I had (2 inspections ago) was obviously in a bad mood on the day and the only thing she found in all my paperwork was that I had just put 12.00 in the time bit for medication, it was an action point on my report to ensure I was accurate with my time recording (felt it could have been mistaken for midnight).
