Need to take a look at my policies over half term. What is your policy (if you have one) on the above health problem. I have a young mindee who is suffering with this the last couple of days. Im not sure if you can exclude for this.

Karoleann- that is because the old previous HPA poster said to 'exclude until treated'

Your nursery needs to get the new poster

Karoleann, I'm an optom too. Hi!Grin
My own ds4 got a bad bout of conjuntivitis, but managed at the same time to give himself a corneal abrasion, probably from scratching due to the irritation. I was very worried that the abraded cornea would get infected and scarred but luckily he was fine in the end. But he caught it from nursery, no question. And they will rub their eyes and then hug each other, very hard to stop them.

I dont exclude as feel by time symptoms are out there its passed on anyway.. but absolutly understand the cms on here who do..

and I would always make parents aware of this so they can keep their children at home if wish.

Hi chipmonkey - waves!!

Thanks for raising this issue, Mumto2. It will enable me to confirm my current policy to exclude in cases of conjunctivitis.
