I worked weekends for a family who had shift work plus a DH away long term, one weekend in 4 or 6, double fees and it worked very well

I wouldn't have done for anyone, the family were partic nice and the children adorable and I was happy to help

yy ask around, be prepared to pay a premium

Hi babydubs i am a childminder in the bolton/bury area of manchester and i work evenings/weekends and i am also ofsted registered to provide overnight care.

HSMM · 10/02/2011 08:12

I do evenings/weekends/overnights, but at a premium rate I'm afraid. If someone needed a regular arrangement, we might be able to come to some sort of deal :).

Im in the west midlands, Walsall, Shell but thank you.

This is my first brush with childcare so feel a little blind with it, completely understand Saturday premium, wouldnt expect anything less, it is a pain really. Does anyone have any idea of what rate would be acceptable for 3yr and 2yr all day saturday, 8-6? or even 9-5?

TIA Smile

my suggestion if you cant find a childminder / costs too much is to look at a childcare student

BabyDubsEverywhere · 10/02/2011 21:47

Ooo thats a good idea. Hadn't thought of that. thankyou
