Please could any doula's out there tell me about how they qualified, job opportunities, expected income etc, etc.
I am a qualified nurse and teacher working both part time.
I have just had dc4 and really want to find a job that I love - currently I feel that I am doing neither VERY well because they are both so 'full-on'!!
I am looking to drop half my hours ideally (to work approx 20 hrs /wk)
If I had my time again I would probably train as a midwife but for financial reasons that is no longer an option. Is being a doula something that might suit me? I am entralled by motherhood s imagine I would enjoy this as a career but totally understand that the realities of a job are often somewhat different to how people imagine them to be!!
