Hi there.

I'm doing the planning for next month I've done Chinese New year and I'm in the middle of doing Valentines day. Now what I'm thinking is getting the children to colour a card and put in it something like "love you mum and dad" and post it. Now is that appropriate to do that? My DH also a cm thinks it would be better just to give the cards to mum. But I think it would be a good surprise for mum. What do you think?

I think posting it is quite a cute idea. Its very different and unexpected. Also, though women tend to be into valentines day, you dont want to make the dads feel left out. So you'ld be covering all bases.

Thanks for the reminder of chinese new year, I may be off to victoria and albert museum tomorrow. They have design ideas for chinese new year.

I would ask the child who they want to send it to.
