hi honeypot, it depends on the childminder try the following website childcarelink they may be new registered childminders getting put on the site throughout the year also. Sorry i can't be much help but i'm located in west yorkshire

Hi Honeypot,

I'm in Welwyn Garden City, Herts - probably a bit too far away from you in Enfield - it's about a 1/2 an hour drive.

When my registration comes through, I'll be advertising that my preferred hours are 8-6 but I wouldn't mind starting a bit earlier than that. I'm sure quite a few childminders start before 8.

Try checking with your local children's information service. They will have a list of everyone in your area.

Good luck

TS

Working more flexible hours is the advantage of having one of us wonderful childminders!!

I have always been prepared to start work early, as are many other minders, and many of us will do just drop-offs, collections or even different days for shift workers etc.

If you look at the website mentioned, you have to remember that many childminders will be prepared to be flexible, despite what it may say on their personal details on the site (re. working hours etc.)
