Hi trust you had a great christmas.

I really needed the time off over the christmas.

We stayed in a hotel for two nights and visited family and friends. We then stayed at my mums and enjoyed the lovely food etc and wonderful company of my family.

I am now back and working really hard to get my assignments done.

I must say it was great to get away.

What about YOU?

Would love to hear from you!!!

I never even noticed untill you pointed it out extremelychocolately. Get a grip its a saying lots of people use it so stop picking.

Extremelychocolatey · 01/01/2011 20:59

Don't you tell me to get a grip, cinpin. I presume you have no objection to the word paki either as lots of people use that too.

Look at the context that blondes was saying it. You can see that she did not mean it offensive she was not talking about a person.

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/01/2011 21:15

Thank you cinpin

No I didn't mean to cause offensive :( and no I'm
Not at all rasict -

I know several Chinese people and all are lovely - and one is a close friend

I even spoke to her last night and she asked what I was doing for nye and I replied having a chinky and she said lovely and have fun

I obviously didn't offend my friend and she is blunt like me so if I had she would have said to me

Either way - I'm sorry if I offended some of you and thank you looney/star and cinpin for sticking up for me

cinpin · 01/01/2011 21:23

I think any one can see you are not a racist.

Sorry to all carpenters but on fridays we nearly always go to the local chippy.

MUM2BLESS · 02/01/2011 23:10

Please everyone lets leave it now. I wanted to know how your christmas was?

I think the message has been given. Also blond.... did not mean to cause any offence.

Happy new year to everyone.

I worked up until tea time on Christmas eve and also 3 days last week with my usual mindees plus 3 extra mindees to help out another CM.

I really wish I'd had a day or 2 off before Christmas to organise all my Christmas things and will try and book them off for next time. Although, I love the idea of having mindees here on Christmas eve and spending the day doing lots of fun Christmas-treat-type things. I took ds and my 2 mindees out for lunch this time as a treat and it was lovely!

Before I moved to my current town, I always had at least a week off around Christmas time but because I don't have to travel to family where I live now I feel I can never say no when people ask me to have their dc.

I seem to have worked more in the last couple of weeks than I do any other time.

I'm now off until Thursday, as is ds, so we're spending quality time together!
