Another present thread... for nannies

I don't know what to get my lovely nanny. She does just 1 day a week for me but is so helpful and flexible and great with the kids. Things are always so hectic - we have a little chat about the weekend etc but I can't say I know her likes and dislikes or what would be a special treat.

I thought about a bracelet, or vouchers for our local department store (it has lots of nice brands to choose from) - also Westfield but when I asked she has never been (a bit of hassle from here without a car so ruled that one out). But today she asked for her holiday pay up front as it would really help her out (which is fine) so I am wondering if she would actually appreciate a cash bonus? Does cash look lazy/can't be bothered?

There is another thread around about what to give ypur nanny as a Christmas present.I think we all like a bonus at Christmas and it sounds as though your nanny would appreciate it .I love getting photo s of the children I look after ,Maybe a bonus and a small gift made by the children or photos of them in a nice frame and a box of chocolates or bottle of wine.

Cash with a bottle of wine is probably appreciated by most.

M&S voucher (if one is near), Amazon voucher - those are also useful as can be spent on a variety of things.
