When arranging them, how do your MB and DB feel about them? If they don't know the mums/nannies your meeting?

My MB told me last Friday that she wants us to spend time with people she knows already

which is fine, except for the minor issues..
.1) that would cut the people we spend time with from about 14 to 4...]
2)I now feel like she doesn't trust my judgement about it
3) ive been there for 2 years and she says it now!

shes not the easiest person to talk to at times either!

Any thoughts?
TIA

i think chitchat has summed it up too. other nannies are also working and the relationship between nannies/childminders is different to that between mums. being such good friends with other mums is taking her place too much. she may not have worked this out in her head, but that is what i think is going on.

but sorry for you, you sound fab.

Sorry chitchat, didnt mean my questions to come out like that

The playdates, meet ups etc are always for the benefit of the kids, as I say just a bonus we all get along well too

I don't even swap "horror stories" with other nannies, due to their jobs, I dont talk about them at all, ever.

She doesn't mind me spending time with mums she already knows but not with ones she doesnt iygwim, Amidai-that does help thank you :)

I think I need to see it from her perspective for a while

thanks all

I think I'm probably the other way round to Amidai, I get a bit uncomfortable with my nanny being friends with the mums I'm friends with and have sort of steered her away from them. My nanny mainly meets up with other nannies, some she's met since looking after DD, others she knew before. I've met some of them, but not all.

Generally the pattern is they meet somewhere open like the park for a few times, then will meet at houses. I like them to come here sometimes so DD starts to learn to share her toys.
