Ok

Found a primary school for dd, reasonably sure we will get a place

Problem is getting her there - there is a coach provided but she can't go on it til she is five, so there is a whole year of us having to get her there somehow

She goes to a lovely cm who will not take her or puck her up due to traffic concerns. I don't want to change cms, she really is fantastic and both my dc love going there

So

If you were a cm who was already doing pickups and dropoffs to this school, would you take an additional passenger? How much would you charge?

Tia

Do you mean as a lift to the other CM? If so, I'm afraid I couldn't do it as I need to work to full capacity - unless you paid me £8.80 per day (I charge a min of 2 hours for after school care).

Hope you manage to sort something.

Are you able to do either the drop off, or pickup? If you are, you might be able to lift share with another parent. If not, contact the school, because they might be able to help you with a local minder (or helpful parent) who can get you through this year.

Pick up from cm's house to take to school and collect from school to drop off at cm's house

I would pay 8.80, once she is ft at school my childcare bills drop significantly

I can't drive and the school is across town, so really have to rely on someone else

Dh needs to leave fir work by 7 so he can't either

I am happy to hear that it is possible in theory if nothing else

Oh well, if you paid me £13.10 a day I'd certainly think about picking up from and dropping back off with the CM as I wouldn't be loosing the income. My main consideration would be about the playing in the playground after school. If you were happy for me to continue doing what I do and then drop off, I'd be fine with that (i.e. once a week we hang around playing/having snacks for up to half an hour so can collect from recorder lessons)

Certainly worth ringing round and asking :)
