Mindee getting ready to leave

Hi one of my mindees is getting ready to leave my services shortly. Been with me about a year and a half.

We have been through so much together.

Had the biting, tandrums, fussy eating, fussy sleeping etc etc etc.

I have tried to be firm and consistant during this time. Seen so many changes for the better. I like to encourage please and thank you and hands at your mouth when you are coughing. Recently the little one told one of my children to put hand at mouth, when they were cought [smile}

I kinna feel a little emotional when I think its time to move on.

Have you had to do this and how did you feel about them moving on?

I was looking through diary notes and I was reminded about what has happened over this period.

it's a strange thing - they become part of the gang and yet one always knows that moving on is part of the whole deal

I miss my first one most of all - that child was v special indeed [sniff]

Ah, what a lovely thread - I've been spending too long in AIBU and turned into a cynical old hag. Thanks for recalibrating - tis v sweet that you miss your mindees so much. Grin

Mindee now left. I saw her yesterday at her house. She was really friendly and pleased to see me.

Do you keep in touch with your ex mindees?

I hope I will be able to see her every now and then.
