We recently started with a new mindee. She is 9 months old. I have noticed that she likes to sit and play. leaning forward for toys on the mat. She was reaching to her side and fell onto her stomach. She didn't lift her head like I expected a baby of this age to do. Yesturday she fell backwards from a seated position on the mat. She moaned a bit but didn't make any effort to get up. Not even rolling to her tummy. All she did was put her arms up to be picked up. She didn't even lift her head up.

Should I be concerned? I will continue to do observations on her and mark things down. I haven't mentioned anything to parents as yet as it's early days. Advice please.

might just be that they are always there and pick her up as soon as she starts to fall. And the may always put toys in her reach. Keep doing what you are doing and watch the parents with her to see if they always make sure toys are in her reach ( if this is possible)
She doesn't seam to far behind so I wouldn't worry the parents. Maybe suggest a few things they could do to encourage her to reach for things and then move. Some first time mums don't realise babies have to learn to reach for things.
