Hi, my employer has asked if i would become Ofsted registered so that they can claim for part of my wages. Can anyone tell me what the Ofsted inspector will want to look at/ask me when they do an inspection. I realise they will want to see my Public Liability, CRB & first aid certificatel, what else will they want, any help would be appreciated.

OFTSED don't inspect all nannies and you won't be inspected when you register. They just do random spot-checks (pick a name out of a hat type thing). My friend was selected for a check, she was between jobs at the time, so they went to her house and checked her certificates (childcare qualification, First Aid, CRB, Insurance) and asked about child protection issues and discipline I think. Did she know the guidlines/correct procedure etc.

To register initially it's just a matter of having all your stuff up to date and filling out a few forms.
