CMs - what would you do?

Hi there, woul be grateful for some advice. One of my new mindees is underpaying me by £1.50 every week...it's not much in the gran scheme of things, but this week (week 3), I've noticed and written a nice note saying: I am so sorry not to have noticed before but it's x amount a week, not Y, and showed the calculations for each week.

Showed it to my husband who said: it's not worth it for £1.50.

Am I being a scrooge? It's a really nice note!

Not a CM but I would definitely point it out. It all adds up over time!!

I use a CM and if I were doing this I would want my mistake to be pointed out to me.

Yes of course, point it out, would be mortified to think that I was underpaying my childminder,

£1.50 over 48 weeks (if you have 4 weeks off) = £72 and I know it's not a lot per week but it DOES add up. If it was me, I'd point it out. Maybe you could put that £1.50 per week to one side if it doesn't really matter, and then have a nice night out once it's built up Wink

Yes point it out! I too, would be mortified to find out I was underpaying even £1.50. As said, it adds up over time and the guilt and horror of finding out that I had underpaid her by £72 at some point... I'd need to pay her if I eventually noticed and would be so much easier to do £1.50 extra per week instead of £72 unexpectedly in one go.
