CM Maternity Leave

Just a quick post to ask does being on Maternity Leave delay your inspection? A friend has been on Mat leave for about 15 months and started back in May. She would have been due an inspection any time now. She informed OFSTED she was on leave so will they delay the inspection to reflect the break that she has had?

Thank You

I think you just inform ofsted when you are minding children again and they will inspect as normal if the inspection is due.

No idea as I only had 10 weeks off and notified them so they could add ds2 to the cert. Not sure I'd have let them know about maternity leave itself so can't answer that? Has she notified them since the birth so they could send her a new cert?

Yes she notified them when going back to work and recieved new cert to reflect new addition so OFSTED know that she has mindees again. Shes in middle of that pre inspection flap we all get into! Occured to us this morning that maybe she may not get inspected just yet. Not to worry back to flapping!!!!

Oh well then, if they know then I guess they will inspect as per usual. Mine was in March 09 and my previous inspection before was Dec 05 but I'm not sure if that gap really has anything to do with my 12 week break (I was wrong when put 10 wks - that's how old ds2 was when started back lol). I had mine around the same time as another who'd had their's about same time previously so I think it's just when they got round to it. I'm not sure they're doing every 3 years any more though? Well, not if got a good/os
