what do al the cms on here when you get a newby? am wondering if i should have some sort of tick list or do an assessment of new child? does anyone have a sheet they use? x

I print out the development matters grids - stick them in the front of the LJ and its gets highlight out where I notice what they can do/achieve etc. Where possible I link it to an obs (obviously not every statement) and just stick the date next to the statement so it x'refs to the obs.

pippin 26 - that sounds like a great (and time saving!) idea. is the grid you mention the bit at the back of the EYFS book where it is split into the 6 leaning & Development areas, and the each area split into age ranges?

if you register on the TES website and put in development matters grids you should be able to find them
