Hi there, I am currently registering as a cm with my dh, and he has done the intro course (ICP?) already but I am doing mine v soon. He tells me we need to write a lot of policies but I have no idea where to start. I did borrow a set from another childminder but can't open them as she has done them in publisher or something we don't have... was wondering if anyone could lend me some exemplary ones to start me off? big ask I know but you all seem v helpful... or just a list of what policies i need would be good too. Thanks so much if you think you can help! it all seems like such a huge mountain of paper to climb...

lots at the Bromley website they prefer CMs to adapt to their setting rather than copy word-for-word

NCMA also have a range for you to adapt

just remember though - you don't need ALL of the ones on bromley

Yes definitely don't use all the Bromley ones, just choose some that you think sound reasonable or that cover a particular problem you forsee in your setting.
