Nanny Agencies - stuck

Hi - I'm looking for a nanny but don't want to become an employer and be responsible for the nanny's Tax, NI, Maternity Pay etc.

Does anyone know if any nanny agencies exist (in Surrey / London)that handle the whole shabang so that you pay the agency a fee of, for example, £125 per day and the nanny gets £100 and the agency takes their fee and sorts out the tax etc?

So far my searches have turned up agencies that are merely introduction agencies - surely there should be a more comprehensive service on the market?

Thanks!

I don't know of anyone who does that, but there are a few companies that you pay to sort all that out for you... Nannytax for one. Google 'nannytax' and quite a few come up.

Nqnnytax, nannypaye, payefornannies

All googleable and will do pretty much what you want for between £100 and £150 a year depending on the package you want.

You will still be an employer but they will do all the payroll calculations for you.

Don't know of any agencies which offer a full-service type thing. In theory they could do it but it would be a temporary nanny so the fees would be high (the agency would employ the nanny on a 0 hour contract, then subcontract them to you - same way it works for nursery temping). Problem is, not sure any nannies would go for such an arrangement.

Why don't you want to be an employer yourself? You can pass the payroll side of things over to payefornannies or any one of many payroll providers.

Is there anything we [the collective power of Mumsnet] can help you with?

if you want a nanny you have to be an employer... but as others said nannytax (and similar) will sort out all the tax / figures / payslips etc

you just then transfer the correct amount into nannies bank account
