Freedom from school runs

Just wanted to share with you ....

My DD has just left primary school and will be going to Secondary school on the bus. A mindee who I currently take to and from pre school starts school in September and is being taken by her Mum. This left me free from school runs.

I had 2 phone calls at the weekend asking me to do school runs ... Do you know what I said? "Sorry, I no longer do school runs." It felt so liberating. I can't believe I won't be tied by other people's timetabls any more.

How long do you think I can keep it up?

so what happens when your younger mindees start school or preschool? I suppose you will have to reassess whether you still want their fees. I can understand your liberating feeling though

gingernutlover - I think I have at least a year before we are talking about pre school for the next round of children. The ones that are off to school are just coming to me in the holidays, so they are OK. I am just hoping it lasts as long as possible
