I had my baby at LRI on 17th May. The rooms in the Kensington birth centre are ok, have TV (althoughs ours didn't work as aeriel wasn't connected), easy chairs, rocking chair, birthing ball etc etc.

I ended up moving out of KBC as had to be induced and have epidural, my epidural didn't work so labour ended up being pretty tough but that was my experience rather than the place itself, the midwife who delivered my baby was lovely. I also had to stay to on ward after for 2 nights and I hated that, you want to get out and home ASAP.

Its my first so i've nothing to compare to but overall i would say its ok. Anything specific you want to ask?

Think i just wanted to check that they had all the regular stuff like birthing balls, rocking chairs and general cleanseness and attitudes of staff

Hi, I had DS3 at LRI on 22nd April. I had been booked in at the General but when it all kicked off they were closed!!

I was in the home birth rooms and I thought it was lovely. My midwife was great, really reassuring, the senior midwife who did my stitches was equally as lovely and all in all was my best birth experience to date.

Any area that I saw was very clean, I spent a few hours in the post natal ward too, and I felt well looked after.

Congratulations on your pregnancy.

Leicester Royal, General or Peterborough for maternity services please? I had a terrible experience in a hospital London with the postnatal care and interested to here views on the above hospitals. Intend to have a planned c section after a very long and scary labour and emergency last time.
