I saw Dr Kunde when pregnant with dd#2 - he works at both St Thomas (Lansdell Suite) and Portland. He was really wonderful. He is knowledgeable, experienced, caring and very patient. His care during my pregnancy and delivery was excellent. I ended up with a c-section for reasons beyond Dr Kunde's control and he did a great job. My scar is small and neat and recovery was very easy. I would definitely recommend him.

Hi there,

I'm not a Mum but joined to get your feedback. I'm a Paediatric Nurse thinking of working at the Portland Hospital for Women and Children (interview coming up).

I was just wondering from a parent's perspective who have had their baby/child cared for at the Portland. What did you think the hospital was like? Did they look after your child well? Could you tell a major difference in the nurses and the way they cared compared to the NHS?

I've looked around the hospital and it looks and sounds great, I just wondered how it is?

Hi. Just to say Joseph Iskaros is fantastic and at the Portland. He is so empathetic, amazing bedside manner etc. For example he held my hand before my procedure and told me "it's just not fair".
That said, unfortunately I had to have another procedure and mr iskaros was on holiday (he very kindly called me from holiday and recommended some other consultants to use). I ended up seeing dr Donald Gibb and was so nervous when I read this thread. Perhaps Mr Gibb has taken this feedback on board as I had a very positive experience with him. He has a different style to mr iskaros but I was particularly impressed with how approachable and hands on he was. He called the hospital to tell them to expect me in the next 10 mins, gave me detailed instructions of what I needed to do when I got there (which was usual as I was able to prompt the nurse to give me a prescription) and also told my husband that he could escort me to theatre which we weren't aware of. Would highly recommend both consultants.

I have birth via elective c-section with the help of Mr George Attilakos who I can highly recommend! He's very caring, empathetic and patient and did a fantastic Job in delivering my son. He also visited me twice a day at the Portland postnatally to check if everything was alright although I didn't have any complications. He practices at the Harley Street Centre for Women and Children
