Super news Bloss - I am really happy for you - didn't you expect a boy ??? What have you named her ?
You'll see girls are easier than boys
I wish you all the best - hope you recover quickly physically but also morally if you know what I mean... at the end you have a beautiful baby - you said so yourself
Hugs !

Pupuce, how did that happen - you are getting like the BBC and repeating yourself!

Tinker · 22/02/2002 18:58

Nice one Bloss. Girls are easy!

jasper · 22/02/2002 21:12

Congratulations on wee Blossie.
May she bring great joy to you and your family XXXX

Pupuce · 23/02/2002 00:29

No I accidentally refreshed an old screen...

Eulalia · 23/02/2002 13:37

Congratulations bloss - glad to hear everything is going well with the new baby.

Pupuce · 23/02/2002 14:23

Bloss - quick question : is your failure to progress potentially due to your pelvis not shifting ? Could they tell you why ?
I ask because my first labour was 6 hours of second stage and if I had been in hospital they would have given me a c-section. They told me MONTHS later that my pelvis had stayed flat and that's why the baby's head wasn't progressing.
For labour number2 I was followed by an osteopath who ensured that this woudn't happen again (he saw me 7 hours before baby was born at the beginings of my contractions). It's pretty sure it would have if I hadn't been treated as my pelvis does not shift naturally (it does in most women).

congratulations! Hope you, DH and DS are all OK and that baby Bloss continues to feed and sleep well.

Lil · 25/02/2002 13:19

Congrats Bloss, I can picture you now, sitting in the Oz sunshine, with your feet up and baby quietly sleeping - lovely!

Lizzer · 25/02/2002 16:25

Trust me to be away and miss your big event Bloss!
Congratulations and I'm soo pleased the feeding's starting out well for you and dd. WOW, it seems like only yesterday you were just pregnant (stupid thing to say to you as I'm sure you can remember every day!) So, my birth present to you is that I'm not even going to mention you-know-who or THAT baby book ever again!!! (well, unless its soooo important I can't help it )

Give her a hug from me - though obviously not while interupting a set nap time or anything (Oh, I tried...)

Fantastic news Bloss! Many congratulations, sorry the birth bit was not what you hoped. Glad to hear that breast feeding is going well though and that your baby girl is calm & content.
Look forward to more updates when you have time!

bells2 · 26/02/2002 10:08

Bloss - I love the name!

Rhubarb · 26/02/2002 14:10

Well done Bloss. Sorry I have to post under this nickname but I have had to discontinue my other one. You might guess if I tell you I'm from Preston. Adelaide is a beautiful name, just out of interest, why did you choose it? Pity you can't post pictures on Mumsnet, I'd love to see her!

Congrats!

Marina · 26/02/2002 16:00

Bloss, what a lovely name. Wasn't a toss-up between that and Victoria, was it?
"Rhubarb", nice to see you are still around. I was just wondering what you picked as your new alias!

Bloss that IS a lovely name - much nicer than say 'Gina' or anything.....(sorry)But seriously I love names that are strong but pretty sounding, we might have to agree on something here

Rhubarb hello - pleased to see you (again) Did you pick your name because of the divine cocktail from sex and the city, the ruby rhubard - yum!

ScummyMummy · 27/02/2002 15:36

Ace name for an ace baby of an ace mum.

Congratulations Bloss. Adelaide is a fabulous name, reminds me of that character in the musical 'Guys & Dolls', wasn't Adelaide the sassy one with great numbers?!
