What is the best c section band or compression belt or what should I buy, c section in a week! Can I use Frida cold pads? If so, what with? I just have pads and disposable underwear at the moment…

None of the above.

Just comfortable big pants and pads for the bed.

I just bought big, cheap knickers from Primark/Tesco etc. If they got ruined/stained with blood I just binned them. Found disposable undies a waste of time, they just ripped.

Nothing apart from big knickers

Compression on a major surgical wound? Is that what it doe? Ouch

Yeah I went with high waisted pants that I wore during pregnancy so I was used to them and maternity pads. The frida pads to start, but they're pretty huge...then went down to the boots maternity pads which are much smaller...then down to the always sanitary pads

Definitely just pants - the more the wound breathes the better. Anything else is an infection risk.

I actually wore mesh pants at home with dresses to air it as much as possible. I also used a new, clean maternity pad to dry it thoroughly after every shower and lay down for a few minutes to air it.

Both my c section wounds healed really well both times.

I’ve had 4 sections and like previous posters, I just wore big pants and pads. Leggings were comfy.
