Has anyone had any experiences of Oliver Wildman or Alex Slack as obstetric consultants at Pembury? Birth will be a scheduled c-section.

Mr Wildman delivered my son. Wasn’t the chattiest but all went well and my midwife was astounded by the neatness of my scar!

Dr Wildman was my consultant as I was high risk, but he wasn’t available on the date I needed. No idea who I had but he was nice and did a good job I think. I liked Dr Wildman too.

I just re-read your post. I thought you were asking which is best for the caesarean. I was a pretty complicated case and I quite liked how Dr Wildman didn’t sugar coat and told me I had to have an earlier delivery etc. I didn’t get to choose who did the caesarean as he couldn’t be booked for that day/week but I know he moved some less complicated c-sections to other doctors so I could have the most experienced available. Again, only because of medical need.

I haven't (quite) had my baby yet but I do rate Wildman as a consultant. Very respectful and factual, knows his stuff and doesn't just use the "stats" to scare you. (But that said I am someone who asks alot of questions which seemed to annoy my consultants in previous pregnancy).
