In Hospital For Induction and Fed Up

Really just posting for a moan and some sympathy or moral support!

In hospital for an induction since yesterday morning. No progress so far. I feel like rubbish…..with the room being so warm, interrupted sleep and the food is fine for hospital food but just not what I’d eat at home.

And of course my bowels decide it’s suddenly a great time to give me diarrhoea when I have people poking around down there three times a day!

I said to my husband earlier I think the reason why women maybe say induced births are more painful is because they have already been in the hospital so long and are at their wits end. I’m so over this already.

For info I’m a week and a bit overdue which is the reason for induction.

Handhold here. I was induced on a Monday.. then had to wait until Friday until there was room on the labour ward! Ended with an emcs anyway. Not trying to worry you. The sign you've got diarrhoea could be positive! It might be a clear out before labour. Here to chat x

Hang in there. I was induced on a Monday and was sent home early evening for another week! Returned following Monday and they broke my waters - things went very quickly from there but luckily got the epidural in time.
The baby WILL come out!

I remember it well from when I had DD back in 2014. I walked the halls and hospital grounds A LOT. It was hotter than Hades in the ward so I basically spent the night walking from aircon vent to air con vent then when I got really bored I snuck out and went for a walk down the road to a 24hr Tesco to stock up on chocolate, an ice lolly and magazines.

Hang in there, sleep if you can, if nothing else it passes the time, you will have a baby soon just keep thinking that it will end eventually.

How are things going @NewMum3000? Hope you're able to rest up during the day - I found it the easiest time to catch some snooze.

Try and get away for walks for some food and fresh air. I did head out with my husband for a lunch whilst waiting for a bed on the labour ward and it was bliss. It is all sooooo worth it when you are cuddling your beautiful baby 🥰

Thinking of you and hope things happen soon xx

Come back and tell us when your cosy sleeper has decided to come out 😀

I remember that exact feeling, it's the waiting about is frustrating. I ended up doing laps of the hospital and stairs, I must have done miles! It worked though. Good luck!
